Everyone in the room
Sanjib’s dance has long reached people the concert hall leaves out — elders, the visually impaired, and children with disabilities. This website tries to hold to the same welcome.
The standard we aim for
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a goal we keep improving against, not a claim of perfection.
What’s in place
- Semantic, keyboard-navigable pages with a “skip to content” link and visible focus outlines.
- Motion and animation respect the operating-system “reduce motion” setting.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- Colour and type are chosen to meet AA contrast on the site’s palette.
- Content reflows and remains readable when text is enlarged or the window is narrow.
Known limitations
Some archival performance video does not yet carry captions or a transcript, and a few older photographs have only brief alternative text. Both are being addressed as the media library is revisited.
